Landmark Forum believes in positivity

It is natural for obstacles to come in our path in life. The successful person is one that removes all obstacles and moves ahead. It is the easiest thing in the world to curse others for the misfortunes you face. It would be better if you take steps to eliminate the obstacles rather than curse your luck and blame others for it. You will be able to do only if you develop a positive frame of mind. The more negative you are, the more difficult it will be to become successful in life. They say that ‘Fortune favors the brave’. Landmark Forum says that ‘Fortune favors those who are positive’.

You have to attend these courses to understand the real essence of their statements. This Forum helps you do that by using short inspirational stories. You tend to absorb the lessons better when you listen to stories that captivate your attention.

In the ancient times, kings used to rule the country. However, the basic mentalities of people in those times were just the same as they are today. One such king was determined to change this mentality. His ministers told him that he would just be wasting his time as it will not be possible for the king to do so. However, the king was desperate to succeed. How can you argue against the King?

The King placed a heavy boulder right in the middle of the road. He hid among the trees on the side along with a couple of trusted ministers. A trader came along. He dashed his feet against the boulder and injured his toe. Cursing the person who had placed this boulder, he limped away in pain. Another farmer came along on his bullock cart. The wheel dashed against the boulder and broke. Instead of removing the boulder, he started shouting at the top of his voice that the people in the administration were worthless. They could not even see the boulder in the middle of the road. He got the wheel repaired and continued on the way. The boulder was left where it was.

Many people passed by and avoided the same. Some blamed the King for his inefficiency, but no one came forward to remove it from the road. Finally, a peasant came along. He saw the boulder on the road and thought that it might just injure someone. It was late evening as well. No one would be able to see it at night. He tried to push the boulder away with his hands. It was heavy. However, with great effort, he managed to succeed.

Just below the boulder, he found a purse with gold coins and a note signed by the King. The gold coins belonged to the person who removed the boulder from the road.

What do you learn from this story? One should endeavor to remove the obstacles from their way to succeeding in life. This is what Landmark Forum Reviews tries to explain in every lecture. They place great emphasis on looking at the positive side of things and endeavor to remove obstacles in their path.
